Could you please check my English?

I attended the funeral of my sister's mother-in-law today. The vigil was held yesterday while there was a downpour of rain with tear shaped droplets, but today the sky is clear. The bereaved family met the 70 people at the doorway as they entered the public funeral hall. There were three priests that recited sutras while playing Buddhist musical instruments and my niece, who is the grandchild of the deceased read the message of condolence causing us all to weep. After the funeral everyone went to the second floor of the banquet hall to eat dinner and to mark the end of the mourning process. Then I drove almost 200 miles and arrived home around 8 P.M.
