For all you guitar players out there...?

When I pick, I have my baby finger (pinky) of the picking hand placed right on the body of the guitar below the pickups. This way your pinky supports your picking hand, and you won't have to lay your hand on the bridge or hold your hand when picking. Rarely should your picking hand get tired if you do this method. I haven't felt any wearing out in my picking hand after this. You have to get used to it, at first you will press too hard that it might feel uncomfortable or you might press too lightly, you have to be in between. That takes practice to get there. Also, don't speed up if you can't keep time. Divide the song into pieces and play them over and over until your comfortable with them, gradually increase the speed, and then move on to the next part. Remember, repetition in guitar playing is one of the most valuable aspects to being a guitar master.
