What are some ideas I can incorporate into my story?

The third person is androgynous and is named Descoda, Coda to his soldier friends. He has the ability to see just far enough into the future to know when trouble is near and warn others. However, ingesting the simple chemical that enhanced his abilities, dihydronous oxide, sometimes results in devastating migraines making him foresee dual futures. This forces Coda to chose one path or the other within a split second, sometimes with tragic consequences.
