Never been to South America.... how should I plan where to go first and last?

Peru, Equador, Colombia, then Venezuela? Or Venezuela, Equador, Colombia, then Peru? Or something entirely different? And should I go by train from country to country or plane? I want to do this with very little money. Only people with experience have the right to respond.
